- Well it's a crusader 5.7l long block. After removing the timing cover I discovered it has gears and no chain (that was a shock to me). Anyhow that's how I discovered it was a counter rotation engine. I found the correct firing order for a counter rotation engine but the distributor is spinning counter clockwise when looking down vs clockwise
